Down in Devon, the Broomhill Estate was due for a bit of a spruce up. The new owners had grand plans - turn it into an art hotel, each room inspired by cult classics. Bit of a tall order, that, and with a timeline tighter than a drum.

Fable Construction rolled up their sleeves, ready to give it a go. They started by peeling back layers of history, revealing the old girl's true character underneath.

The Fable lot got stuck in, straightening wonky walls and leveling floors that had seen better days. They threaded new plumbing and electrics through the building's bones, no mean feat in a place with more twists than a country lane.

Nine weeks of graft saw seven rooms emerge, each with its own personality. Fable guided the owners through the maze of design choices, making sure each space told its own tale without clashing with the overall vision.

For the finishing touch, they laid floating floors and packed in sound insulation. After all, art appreciation calls for a bit of peace and quiet.

As the dust settled, Broomhill stood transformed. Not just a hotel, mind, but a living gallery where guests could kip in the midst of creativity.
